Founding Account Executive
Description
About the Role
Join an early-stage AI tooling company as one of its first Account Executives, building the sales motion for a technical product from the ground up. You will own the full sales cycle and work closely with company leadership, engineering, and customers to shape sales strategy, positioning, and the product roadmap.
What You'll Do
Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, discovery, technical evaluation, negotiation, and close.
Develop trusted relationships with AI engineers, engineering leaders, CTOs, and technical founders.
Lead discovery that uncovers technical challenges and connects them to business impact.
Partner with engineering on customer evaluations and pilots, including security, legal, and procurement processes.
Create repeatable outbound, qualification, discovery, and closing processes.
Share customer insights to inform product, positioning, ideal customer profile, and go-to-market strategy.
What We're Looking For
At least 3 years of full-cycle closing experience selling technical B2B software, with a track record of meeting quota and clear context on deal sizes and personal contribution.
Experience selling to engineers, engineering leaders, CTOs, or technical founders.
Experience sourcing pipeline and building sales processes without relying on an SDR team.
Strong discovery skills, including the ability to ask thoughtful questions and translate technical needs into business outcomes.
Evidence of career growth and strong performance in previous roles.
Familiarity with AI products, developer tools, APIs, infrastructure, or AI systems; a technical background is a plus.
