Founding Compliance Lead
You will own licensing strategy, regulatory relationships, and compliance infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions. You will manage licensing applications and renewals, design AML and KYC programs, oversee transaction monitoring and SAR filing, partner with legal counsel, and advise leadership on market entry decisions.
Responsibilities
- Own the licensing roadmap, including new applications, renewals, and strategic expansion
- Build and maintain relationships with regulators across key markets
- Design compliance infrastructure including AML and KYC programs, transaction monitoring, and SAR filing
- Partner with legal counsel on regulatory strategy and enforcement response
- Work directly with the CEO and leadership team on market entry decisions
Requirements
- Direct experience obtaining and maintaining Money Transmitter Licenses in the US
- Hands-on experience with Dubai VASP registration and ongoing compliance
- PSP licensing experience in the EU, UK, or other major jurisdictions
- Previous experience at a stablecoin company, crypto exchange, or payments infrastructure provider
- Familiarity with MiCA CASP requirements and the transition from legacy VASP registrations
