Founding Design Engineer

You will establish the design function and lead design across product, brand, marketing, software, hardware, and physical environments. You will turn ambiguous problems into polished artifacts, build the design system, conduct research, create prototypes, and improve design quality across the company.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the design system
• Lead end-to-end product design for FruitScope OS
• Own brand design across the website, sales materials, customer stories, presentations, and communications
• Design marketing materials, tradeshow booths, conference materials, field-day experiences, and product packaging
• Support hardware design through industrial-design thinking, labeling, documentation, and operator experiences
• Raise design quality through templates, feedback, and design principles
• Help define the future design organization

Requirements

• 1–5 years of real-world design experience
• Portfolio demonstrating product thinking and visual craft
• Experience across product, software, brand, marketing, and physical-experience design
• Experience delivering ambiguous zero-to-one projects from research through shipped work
• Figma
• Modern prototyping tools
• Claude Code
• AI tools
