Founding Designer

Summary

Build and scale the brand’s visual identity and design system for a health-tech startup translating science into clear, engaging outputs across digital and social channels.

What You Will Do

  • Scale and manage the design function.
  • Build and own the brand's design language including strategic aspects of visual identity and brand language.
  • Decide how our science and tech is translated across diverse audiences.
  • Build the design system, templates, and asset library a future team will run on.

What Success Looks Like (6 Months)

  • One recognisable visual language across everything we put out.
  • Design ships consistently and in-sync with the content calendar across socials.

You Are a Good Fit If

  • You have a portfolio with real craft across brand and digital.
  • You can take scientific subject matter and design your way to clarity, without dumbing it down.
  • You would rather own a whole stack than specialise in one slice.
  • You move comfortably between slow, considered brand work and fast, iterative execution.
  • You are tuned into culture and design for how a message actually feels, not just how it looks.

Valuable but Not Required

  • You have designed for a consumer health, wellness, or science brand.
  • You know motion design or animation.
  • You have shipped a direct-to-consumer launch or run performance creative before.

What You'll Get

  • Ownership of the story for a test already published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology and covered in Scientific American and New Scientist. You will be telling a story the press already wants.
  • ESOPs in a pre-revenue company backed by Accel, collaborating with UCL, Narayana Health, and Medical Detection Dogs.
  • Competitive salary, health insurance, and flexible time off.
  • A small, interdisciplinary team spanning engineers, scientists, clinicians, and dogs. The office is never boring.
