Founding Engineer (AI / Multi-Agent Systems)

ChiefPulse is an autonomous personal AI Executive Assistant built for solo founders and C-suite executives who are drowning in daily operations overload. We currently have a waitlist and are preparing for closed beta launch.
We've built real technical depth already - a multi-agent system with autonomous execution, live integrations across the tools founders actually use, and a trust-based framework that lets the product act on a user’s behalf with increasing autonomy over time.
We're not looking for someone to build this from zero. We're looking for a builder to help take it further - deeper autonomy, more capability, and the harder technical problems ahead as we move toward genuine full-autonomy execution.
Role Details
- Part-time: ~4 hours per day / 20-25 hours per week with potential coversion to full time.
- Remote
- Equity-based compensation (4–5%)
- Short mutual trial period before finalizing terms
What you’ll own
- Extending the core system - new capabilities, deeper automation, more autonomous execution
- Working directly in the trust logic that governs what the product can act on independently, and how that expands over time
- Integration work across the tools our users run their business on
- Real architectural input, not just ticket execution - this is a small team building something technically ambitious, and your judgment matters from day one
Who we’re looking for
- Strong backend/full-stack engineer, comfortable with LLM-based systems and agentic architectures - this isn’t a CRUD app
- Experience (or strong ability to work) with: React / Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, LangChain / LangGraph or similar agent frameworks, FastAPI or Node.js, and basic cloud deployment (Vercel)
- Genuinely energized by the problem, not just the paycheck as there isn’t one yet
- Comfortable joining something real but still early - a product in waitlist stage, not a blank slate
- Ownership mentality - wants to shape technical decisions, not just execute someone else’s spec
