About the Role

This is a founding engineering position at a YC-backed enterprise AI startup building agents that automate complex system integrations, data migrations, and ERP implementations. You will join a small team where your decisions directly shape the architecture, and everything you build becomes the standard the next wave of engineers inherits.

What You'll Do

  • Build and iterate on the agent core: planning, execution, and self-healing loops that turn natural-language descriptions into production-grade data movement.

  • Own systems end to end, including connectors, transformation engine, execution runtime, the web app, the SDK, and the MCP server.

  • Work on infrastructure that operates directly on production ERP and financial systems, where reliability and failure modes are taken seriously.

  • Join customer calls when they touch your work, developing a direct understanding of real user needs.

  • Set the engineering bar: your patterns, conventions, and judgment become the baseline for future hires.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience building and operating production systems.

  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript with demonstrated experience building full-stack, end-to-end applications.

  • Proficiency in at least one additional language such as Python, Go, or C.

  • Experience integrating with or implementing enterprise systems such as ERPs, CRMs, or data warehouses (SAP, NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, or similar).

  • Proven ability to design and implement critical infrastructure with sound judgment on reliability and scalability.

  • Experience working directly with customers on technical implementations or support.

  • Track record in an early-stage startup or high-growth environment, comfortable working without a ticket queue or fully formed spec.

  • Experience building or contributing to open source projects.

  • Strong CS fundamentals, demonstrated through a rigorous degree program, competitive programming, or comparable depth.

  • Experience with data migration, ETL, or system integration is a plus.

  • Familiarity with distributed systems, data pipelines, or LLM and agent tooling is a plus.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including comfort speaking directly with customers about technical topics.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: 90,000 to 150,000 EUR annually. Equity is part of the package at this founding stage. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, five days per week. Candidates must be based in Munich or willing to relocate.
