Founding Engineer - Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

• CI/CD designed as gates: build, test, static analysis, secret and dependency scanning, and migration safety.
• Repeatable deployments into customer-controlled cloud environments.
• Worker platform: container pools, queue-driven autoscaling, graceful drain, and idempotent tasks.
• Cost per document as a number you track and drive down.
• Reliability: One observability view across every deployment, with logs, traces, and alerts that fire on what breaks.
• Backend services in Python alongside the infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Python in production, alongside infrastructure work.
• 4+ years running production infrastructure, with on-call experience.
• Containers and orchestration in production: Kubernetes or serverless container platforms.
• Infrastructure as code, with state and environments handled properly.
• CI/CD built from first principles and asynchronous job systems with their failure modes.
• Postgres operations.
• Strong signals: GCP and Azure together, cost of work on LLM workloads, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence.
