This position requires working independently to build robust AI solutions, coding from the first week, and progressing to architecture implementation within the first month. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing the technology lifecycle and driving engineering efforts. ## Responsibilities - Design and implement **AI agent architecture**, including orchestration, evaluations, and cost-efficient inference models. - Develop and optimize proprietary algorithms to enhance AI capabilities, deciding when specific tasks should deviate from larger language models (LLMs). - Create and maintain cloud-based infrastructure across platforms such as **AWS, GCP, or Azure**, including database and API design. - Ensure proper data governance and security, managing real customer data for US businesses effectively. - Lead team multiplication, elevating the technical standards for a developing team of developers and interns. - Deliver hands-on coding and be instrumental in every aspect of product development, prioritizing a mobile-first approach before web deployments. ## Qualifications - 4 to 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on scalable solutions. - Proven track record in shipping AI-centric products to production, including user engagement and failure modes analysis. - Hands-on experience in architecture discussions with a pragmatic approach towards shipping quality products. - Demonstrated independence in problem-solving without the need for a safety net or extensive oversight. - Strong understanding of both AI technologies and software engineering principles. - Educational qualifications: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. ## Preferred Skills - Familiarity with AI frameworks and agentic structures. - Experience with data protection regulations and security protocols. - Ability to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders. ## Experience Candidates should have between **4 to 8 years** of relevant engineering experience. ## Environment The role is based in Bhubaneswar, India, with a full-time commitment to developing innovative AI technology in a collaborative and fast-paced start-up atmosphere. ## Salary Competitive salary plus meaningful founding equity in the parent company based in the US. ## Growth Opportunities Potential for career advancement to a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) role, tailored for the right individual who demonstrates growth and leadership within the organization.
