## Role Type Contract (+equity alignment preferred) ## Location Remote (UTC-1 to UTC+3 preferred, flexible for the right fit) ## About Paygrid Paygrid is building clearing infrastructure for stablecoin payments. We sit between payment service providers and fintechs, coordinating FX matching, netting, and settlement across stablecoins. Early stage where you'd have real ownership over the technical execution with deep business and domain alignment. ## The Role You'll build the systems that turn a working manual process into software. Solve hard problems and help scale the network. This is not a "build to spec" role. You'll need to understand the business well enough to make product decisions yourself. The problems are real: bilateral FX matching between PSPs, multi-currency netting, compliance-aware settlement flows, stablecoin rails. If that sounds interesting, keep reading. ## What you'll do - Build and own core infrastructure: admin tooling, ops automations (with AI as needed), external partner facing tools - Help achieve business KPIs. Measure your work by impact. - Design APIs and data models for partners - Ship production systems that handle real money movement - Work directly with the founder and partners to translate commercial needs into technical solutions - Make architectural decisions. Pick the stack, own the tradeoffs, ship it ## What we're looking for - Strong TypeScript. You build full-stack products with it, not just scripts. - Experience shipping production systems, not just prototypes. Things that run overnight without breaking. - Enough understanding of payments, FX, or financial infrastructure to ask the right questions on day one. - Know how to scale yourself with AI, but still drive critical thinking. - Comfort with ambiguity. We're figuring things out. You need to be energized by that, not paralyzed. - Independent. You ship when nobody's watching. You ask good questions instead of waiting for instructions. You tell your team when something is wrong. ## Bonus - Crypto-native. You've worked with stablecoins, EVM, or DeFi protocols in production. - You've built at a startup before, ideally pre-product-market-fit.
