Loneliness is one of the defining problems of our time, and a lot of people are now trying to solve it. Most are building events listings or dating-adjacent apps. We think the real opportunity is different: not just getting people in a room, but matching people who'll actually click and helping those connections last. PLY helps people build better social lives in the real world, with people like them. Events are how we start: shared dinners, evenings out, things worth showing up for. The bigger vision is a platform that helps people discover experiences, meet people they'll genuinely click with, and keep real friendships alive over time.

We're past MVP, we have real users and early traction, and we're bootstrapped. That last word matters, so let's be straight about what this is.

**This Role ** This is a 0-to-1 role. For now, you are the engineering team. You'll build, ship, fix, and ship again, fast, with us in the room. It's hands-on and scrappy. This is an equity-led cofounder role, built for someone who wants real ownership and is here for what we're building.

You'll be hands-on from day one, and the ambition is for you to grow with us: architecting at scale and building the team behind you. We want the person who builds the thing now and leads it as it gets bigger.

You've built and shipped consumer products fast, ideally 0-to-1

You're full-stack enough to own the whole thing right now

You move quickly, decide with limited information, and care about the user, not the tech stack

You're genuinely drawn to the problem: real-world connection, not just another app

You're used to building with AI
