**About QuiikMart** QuiikMart connects customers across the Greater Toronto Area with local ethnic and specialty grocery stores, starting with African, Caribbean, and Indian markets that are underserved by mainstream delivery apps. We're live on iOS and Android, growing our store partner network, and building the operational and technical backbone to scale delivery across a category the big platforms have ignored. We're a small, scrappy team. If you join now, the systems you build become the systems the company runs on for years. **The Role** We're looking for a senior engineer to join our early engineering team as a true owner, not just a contributor: someone building QuiikMart on the side, in the hours around a full-time job, who wants real equity and real influence in exchange for real ownership of what they build. You'll work directly with the founder/CEO and the rest of the engineering team across the full stack (React Native mobile app, Nest.js backend, PostgreSQL on GCP). This isn't a "follow the spec" role. Even part-time, you'll help set technical direction and make architecture calls that need to hold up as we scale, with the flexibility to structure your hours around your primary job. **What you'll do** Own features end-to-end across our React Native mobile app and Nest.js/PostgreSQL backend Help shape technical architecture and engineering practices as the team grows Work directly with the founder on product and technical roadmap, with real input, not just execution Improve platform reliability, performance, and delivery pricing/logistics systems as order volume grows Work alongside our existing engineering team, and help shape how we hire and onboard as it grows further **What we're looking for** 5+ years shipping production software, ideally with full-stack range (mobile + backend + SQL) Comfortable with ambiguity: early-stage startups mean incomplete specs and shifting priorities Genuine ownership mentality: you notice what's broken and fix it without being asked Direct, pragmatic communicator: we move fast and need someone who can disagree, decide, and ship Excited by the mission, not just the tech: this is a business built for underserved communities in the GTA **Bonus points:** Experience with marketplace, logistics, or delivery platforms GCP experience (Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, logging/monitoring) Familiarity with the African/Caribbean/Indian grocery market or GTA delivery landscape Past experience as an early hire or founder at another startup **Why join now** Everything you ship goes straight to real customers ordering groceries across the GTA.
