Founding Engineer

As Founding Full-stack Engineer at Tally, you’ll play a crucial role in building the initial product experience and APIs, agentic systems, and internal tools to transform a massive tax and financial advisory services industry. We’re well funded by top investors and have years of runway.

• Contribute to the technical vision and product direction as a core team member

• Design, develop, test, and support features for our web and backend applications

• Architect and build cutting-edge AI document extraction and agentic systems

• Build internal tooling for tax advisor and client collaboration

• Take ownership of projects from concept to production

• Work with the latest large language models and cutting edge AI

• Collaborate directly with clients (SMBs), platform partners, and tax advisors

Tech stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Python, Tailwind, React, PostgreSQL, Supabase, OpenAI, Anthropic, Reducto.

• Customer and product obsessed

• Excited about solving unsolved problems

• Capable of growing into a leadership position and running an engineering team

• Have 2+ years of startup engineering experience; studied CS/AI or have equivalent experience

• Have built and shipped products to end users from 0 to 1

• Are fast at 0 to 1, but also thoughtful about how your technical decisions will scale over time
