Founding Engineer / Technical Lead — EdTech Platform
Summary
Founding Engineer / Technical Lead for SadaLearning, an early-stage EdTech startup connecting parents with tutors. The hire owns architecture and technical direction, builds and launches the initial production platform (parent/tutor matching, scheduling, APIs, cloud infra, CI/CD), and can grow into Head of Engineering or CTO.
We are building a new online education platform that connects parents with qualified tutors in a simple, reliable, and accessible way.
We are looking for an experienced Founding Engineer / Technical Lead to help design, build, and launch the product from the ground up. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who wants meaningful ownership over architecture, technical strategy, and the future engineering team.
Responsibilities
Own core system architecture and technical direction
Build and launch the initial production platform
Develop parent, tutor, scheduling, matching, and administrative features
Design scalable APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD
Establish standards for reliability, security, monitoring, and performance
Help evaluate and integrate AI-driven capabilities
Contribute to future engineering hiring and technical leadership
Ideal Background
7+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong full-stack and backend architecture experience
Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE experience
Experience building scalable production systems
Strong technical ownership and leadership skills
Experience with AI-assisted development is a plus
Compensation
Contract: $30–$50 USD/hour
Full-time: $60,000–$100,000 USD/year + equity
Compensation will depend on experience, availability, and level of technical ownership.
