About Visaible

Visaible is the operating system for hotels to acquire customers in the fastest-growing travel discovery channel: AI chatbots. We pair analytics with an agentic workforce that optimises how hotels are portrayed — and drives direct bookings — across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and every other AI assistant travellers now use.

Hotels know AI is where travellers are heading, but few have the expertise — or the time — to show up well there, organically or through paid placements. That’s the gap we close.

We’re a few months old, already at six-figure ARR, working with some of the largest hotel brands in the world, and we believe we’re early to one of the biggest distribution shifts the travel industry has ever seen.

We are venture backed by some of Australia's best investors, and one of the most exciting hotel tech startups in Asia.

We have recently been written about mainstream and industry publications:

The role

This is a role for someone who wants to build and write code — and manage a team of agents.

The engineering leadership role has changed. The job is no longer to manage a 30-person org — at least not for a long time.

The job now is to be the person who decides how AI does the heavy lifting, and where humans (and human-written code) still need to sit in the loop. The job is leverage.

We’re looking for a founding engineer who:

  • Owns the technical direction of Visaible end-to-end — product engineering, data infrastructure, AI/ML, agents, evals, the lot.

  • Has a strong opinion on where AI replaces work and where it doesn’t, and can build a system where Claude/GPT/agents do the heavy lift while the codebase stays clean, testable, and bug-free.

  • Cares about product as deeply as engineering. You’ll be in the design conversations and the customer conversations, not waiting for tickets.

  • Thinks in terms of leverage. You’d rather build systems and wield a fleet of agents so one person moves like a whole team, than solve problems by adding headcount.

This is a founding-team role with founding-team equity. You’ll work directly with the founder, define the technical north star, and own how this company is built for the next 3+ years.

What you’ll own

  • Architecture and direction. How we ingest billions of AI conversations and signals, where models run, how we evaluate output quality, how the data flywheel compounds.

  • The agentic product. Our agentic workforce is a big part of how we deliver for customers. You’ll build, fine-tune, and continually sharpen the agents that drive bookings — how they use frontier models, how we score output quality, and how we monitor and optimise them in production.

  • The engineering bar. Define what “good” looks like in an AI-native codebase — the eval discipline, the testing culture, the deployment philosophy. We want speed, but speed that compounds.

  • Product partnership. You’ll co-own product with the founder. If you’re the kind of engineer who reads customer interview notes for fun, you’ll feel at home.

We think you’re a fit if you

  • Speed is your edge. You can build an MVP in a day and get a working version in front of customers fast, letting real feedback shape it — rather than perfecting something in a vacuum while the opportunity moves on.

  • Have been a founding engineer, principal/staff engineer, or technical lead somewhere ambitious. Title matters less than scope.

  • Have shipped real production systems built around LLMs — agents, RAG pipelines, eval frameworks, and the like. You know where the seams are.

  • Have an opinion about how the engineering org of 2026 looks different from the engineering org of 2022, and can articulate it in a sentence.

  • Have product taste. You have strong instincts for what makes a product genuinely useful — what to build, what to cut, and what will actually move the needle for a customer.

  • Are comfortable being in the weeds and zoomed out. Some weeks you’re deep in a prompt or an eval; other weeks you’re planning the roadmap or walking a hotel CTO through the architecture.

  • Want to build a category-defining company in a category that didn’t exist a year ago.

How we work

We’re building for the long run. We’re also moving fast.

We’re looking for someone who makes things happen — someone who finds solutions and loves the pace of a fast-growing startup. Some weeks call for urgency: when we’re 48 hours from landing one of the largest hotel groups in the world, or a top customer hits a critical issue that needs solving today. We want someone who feels the gravity of that moment — and rises to it.
