Founding Product Designer

Own design end-to-end across product, web, and brand while working roughly two-thirds in design and one-third in engineering. Take concepts from prototype to production, evolve the visual language and design system, and deliver design artifacts and production code.

Responsibilities

• Own design end-to-end and set the bar for taste, craft, and product quality
• Lead with product intuition and ship with code
• Own and ship design from concept through prototype and production
• Define and evolve the visual language across web, product, and brand surfaces
• Build motion and interaction systems
• Decide when to use, break, or evolve the design system
• Maintain and extend design systems

Requirements

• Deliver appropriate artifacts from Figma mockups to production code using Claude Code, Codex, or another harness
• Give feedback with candor and receive it without ego
• Strong design fundamentals in typography, layout, color, and composition
• Actionable taste for motion, timing, and affordance
