Founding Product Builder

Open 31d

If you think product management means writing tickets for engineers to execute, this role isn't for you.
If you think AI is a feature you bolt onto a roadmap after the fact, this role isn't for you either.

---

We believe AI doesn't create talent. It amplifies it.
Used poorly, it generates an exponential amount of technical debt.
Used well, it becomes a team of eager junior engineers capable of executing at machine speed.
The quality of the outcome depends on how well you organize them, guide them, and review their work.
---

We're building Lonio, an AI-native backoffice outsourcing service for finance & HR.
Most companies see AI as a product opportunity.
We do too.
But we believe the bigger opportunity lies in execution.
The companies that master AI-native engineering and product development will build faster, learn faster, and out-execute competitors still operating with traditional processes.
That's the company we're building.
This is not an AI product company. This is an AI-native service company.
Want to know how to build it? Watch this.
This is not a classical start-up, we are a spin-off out of BLP Digital, the fastest-growing AI scale-up in Europe.

Aufgaben

You should be excited by

  • Turning complex Swiss HR and payroll compliance logic into specs engineers can build from without gaps.
  • Owning the product roadmap for our compliance AI automation workflows
  • Working daily with engineering to scope work, sequence what ships next, and catch edge cases before they become technical debt.
  • Joining customer conversations when it sharpens the roadmap. This isn't a GTM role, but you'll sit in on discovery and demo calls often enough to know our customers' problems firsthand.

You'll work directly with Nick (CEO) to translate deep domain knowledge into a product Lauriane (CTO) can execute against.

Qualifikation

We're less interested in your credentials than your trajectory.
We don't have a predefined model of what a great product person looks like.

What matters to us is that you:

  • Understand what AI agents can and can't reliably do today
  • Write specs precise enough that an engineer builds from them without guessing at edge cases ;)
  • Have strong product fundamentals: prioritization, and turning ambiguity into a plan.
  • Learn fast in a regulated domain you likely don't know yet.
  • Take ownership, including the parts of the job nobody has defined yet.
  • Care about outcomes more than titles.
  • Are comfortable working shoulder to shoulder with engineers daily. This role doesn't stop at strategy and hand off execution.
  • Bonus: German fluency and comfort with Swiss B2B customers (CFOs, Treuhand firms, and payroll specialists), since you'll visit them from time to time.

Benefits

We're flexible on titles, backgrounds, and compensation structures.
If you're unsure whether you qualify, we'd still encourage you to apply.

A final note from the CTO.

Nick knows this domain cold. Swiss payroll compliance, the Treuhand ecosystem, what customers actually need. All of that is in his head.
The hard part is turning that knowledge into specs I can build from without guessing at the edge cases.
That gap is exactly what this role closes.
If you like being the translation layer between deep domain expertise and a small, fast-moving engineering team, you'll enjoy this.
