Founding Robotics Software / Controls Engineer
Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per year + equity
Construction is the world’s third largest industry, yet it is the industry that technology forgot.
Unaffordable housing, declining productivity and skilled-labour shortages are difficult problems that need to be solved.
Stansted is an early-stage robotics startup that is building a small, focused and highly capable team to tackle these problems by transitioning labour-intensive construction towards automated off-site manufacturing and on-site rapid assembly.
The first stage is a robotic manufacturing system that automates the production of timber framing for residential construction. The prototype has been developed, a patent has been filed and venture funding has been raised to build the first commercial system.
Stansted is looking for an engineer to establish the software and controls foundation of the company:
Commercial experience in software, robotics, automation or controls.
Confident in prototyping, programming, system integration and testing.
Eager to learn, solve unfamiliar problems and adapt on the fly.
Ability to work extended hours and weekends to support critical milestones.
This is not a typical engineering job. This is a rare opportunity to join early, take real ownership and make decisions that will shape the direction of the company.
If you want to build great machines, solve meaningful problems and challenge yourself, reach out to Hamish with your CV.
