Profile:

We are seeking a motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to provide technical support and consultation to customers and foundry partners. The role involves supporting IC design, tape-out coordination, troubleshooting, pre-sales activities and collaborating with internal engineering and sales teams to meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Job Scope and Key Responsibilities

The proposed role will bridge technical engineering and customer-facing business development, with responsibilities including:

• Act as the main technical contact between fabless customers, foundry partners and internal engineering teams.
• Support IC design enablement, tape-out coordination and technical issue resolution.
• Provide technical consultation on IC design flows, semiconductor technologies and IP applications.
• Support pre-sales activities, technical presentations, customer engagement and business development.
• Coordinate with R&D, sales and product engineering teams to address customer requirements and develop regional business opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics or a related discipline.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, foundry, IC design or semiconductor IP industries.
• Good understanding of IC design flow and the fabless–foundry ecosystem.
• Strong technical communication, problem-solving, presentation and coordination skills.
• Good spoken and written English; Chinese proficiency is preferred.
• Experience in logic design, RTL, verification, PDKs or tape-out processes is an advantage.
• Previous FAE, pre-sales or technical business development experience is preferred
