Role Summary:
The FP&A Manager is a key member of the Finance organization responsible for supporting the CFO in financial planning, forecasting, cash management, and management reporting. This role will operate in a fast-paced aerospace environment and will work closely with Accounting, Operations, Program Management, and senior leadership to provide financial analysis and insights that support business decisions.
The successful candidate will have strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience developing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections in a multi-entity environment. The role will have significant responsibility for the Company’s annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, 13-week cash forecasting, and financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, including development of detailed operating budgets and financial forecasts across multiple entities.
- Develop and maintain rolling financial forecasts, providing management with visibility into expected financial performance and key business drivers.
- Develop and maintain the Company’s 13-week cash flow forecast, working closely with Accounting, Operations, and other functional teams to monitor cash requirements and liquidity.
- Consolidate financial information across multiple legal entities and develop consolidated budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial analysis and reporting, including actual versus budget and forecast variance analysis.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Partner with business leaders to understand key financial and operational drivers, identify trends, and translate business performance into actionable financial insights.
- Monitor revenue, expenses, working capital, capital expenditures, and cash flow against budget and forecast.
- Support management with analysis of customer programs, projects, investments, and other strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting tools, dashboards, and KPIs to improve visibility into business performance.
- Partner with Accounting to ensure financial results are accurately reflected in management reporting and forecasts.
- Support the CFO with ad hoc financial analysis, strategic planning, and decision support.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy, financial processes, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
- Help establish scalable FP&A processes and systems to support the Company’s growth.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree).
- 5+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Experience developing and maintaining a 13-week cash flow forecast.
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment, including consolidation of financial information.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and key financial and operational metrics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
- Aerospace, defense, aviation, or manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience in a high-growth or rapidly changing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial planning/reporting tools.
- Experience with project-based or program-based financial analysis.
- Experience supporting strategic planning and capital allocation decisions.
- Experience developing financial dashboards and management reporting.
- Public company or private equity-backed company experience.
Additional Requirements
- Must have professional working proficiency reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to work in office, lab, and manufacturing environments with occasional exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, industrial equipment, and temperature variations
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer workstation
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for data entry, keyboarding, and mouse use
- Ability to view computer screens for prolonged periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via email
- Ability to use a computer to complete assignments
- Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
- Willingness to travel to other Canopy A&D sites as needed

Base Salary Range: $140,000 to $170,000
Business Hours: Core Business Hours
Base Location: Irvine, CA — Full Time, On-Site
Travel: As needed to various company facilities
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Total compensation will also include a comprehensive set of benefits including but not limited to: Company paid employee medical, dental and vision insurance. 401K company match (eligibility required), paid sick leave, paid vacation, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.
