FP&A Transformation Analyst
Join Anthesis as a Finance Data Analyst within our global FP&A team. This is a global role working across Anthesis' international footprint, combining the analytical and technical rigor of financial data transformation with a strong business mindset: the successful candidate will own core FP&A deliverables — financial reporting, forecasting, management accounts preparation and variance analysis — while also improving and automating the underlying processes, building dashboards for decision-making, and acting as a technical-functional partner between the finance team and local business teams across countries.
We are looking for someone as comfortable running FP&A processes — reporting, forecasting, variance analysis — as they are automating and improving them with Power Query, advanced Excel and some level of coding, turning data into actionable insight for the business.
- Financial reporting — Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial reports for management and stakeholders, ensuring consistency across entities and currencies.
- Reporting improvement — Continuously review and enhance existing reporting packs and processes, simplifying and automating them to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Forecasting — Support the preparation of periodic forecasts, working with business partners to gather assumptions and consolidate financial projections.
- Monthly close — management accounts — Prepare the monthly management accounts and partner with local teams across countries to understand and explain variances driving the results.
- Variance analysis — Analyse actual vs. budget/forecast/prior year variances, identify key drivers and communicate clear, actionable explanations to management.
- Process transformation and automation — Assess current financial processes, identify bottlenecks, and design and implement automation improvements.
- Financial dashboards — Design and maintain financial and operational KPI dashboards that give management and business areas visibility into performance.
- Business partnering — Work closely with different business areas and country teams to understand their information needs beyond monthly reporting, identify where the finance function can evolve, and translate those needs into data solutions.
- Collaboration with technical teams — Act as a bridge between the finance team and IT/BI teams, contributing to data model design, integrations and automation workflows.
- Financial data governance — Ensure the integrity, traceability and consistency of financial data used across reports and systems (NetSuite and other sources).
- 3–5 years of experience in finance transformation, FP&A, finance data analytics or a similar role within a finance department.
- Solid understanding of databases and relational data models.
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, consolidation models, data analysis).
- Hands-on experience with Power Query — required.
- Knowledge of at least one coding/automation tool: Python, VBA or similar.
- Solid grounding in core FP&A processes: financial reporting, forecasting, management accounts preparation and variance analysis.
- Ability to work with both technical teams (IT, BI, systems) and business stakeholders, adapting language and level of detail accordingly.
- Strong communication skills and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Professional level of English (international, multi-country environment).
Differentiating plus — Knowledge of or demonstrated interest in Artificial Intelligence applied to finance (process automation with AI, use of generative AI tools for analysis and reporting, etc.).
- Analytical thinking — Ability to break down complex data problems and translate them into clear solutions.
- Business orientation — Understanding of how financial data drives decision-making across different business areas.
- Ownership and proactivity — Ability to spot improvement opportunities without needing them to be explicitly assigned.
- Cross-functional communication — Comfortable working with very different profiles: from developers to area directors.
- Work within a highly motivated team in an innovative and rapidly growing global company.
- Opportunity to have a direct impact and be a key part of the growth and development of the business and the team.
- Work solely on projects that have an impact on the sustainability and climate change goals/challenges for clients.
- Opportunity to work with, collaborate with and learn from sustainability SME’s who are passionate about the work they do and the impact Anthesis can have.
- Exposure to a wide range of clients and projects on a global basis.
- Competitive salary in line with experience and skills.
- Competitive benefits including flexible working.
- Cooperative, supportive and open working atmosphere.
