Frac Manager
General Scope:
The Frac Manager has a singular focus on growing and coordinating assigned department within a facility, location, district, area, or region as directed by the Region Manager. Works directly with sales and business development to cultivate opportunities. Delegates equipment preparation responsibilities and coordinates equipment needs with and to the shop manager. Leads a group of personnel dedicated to the product line, as well as supplemental personnel from other product lines as necessary. Responsible for the financial health of the assigned department. Ensures superior service quality and safety culture is achieved and maintained for the product line.
Key Expectations:
- Coordinates with regional management and safety personnel to ensure compliance with all quality and HSE policies.
- Develops and establishes a sustainable service line team that delivers quality service while aligning with the organization’s safety culture.
- Upholds all company policies related to safety, purchasing, human resources, and operations.
- Uses Stop Work Authority when unsafe or environmentally unsound conditions could lead to an incident impacting health, safety, or environment.
- Establishes and promotes general direction of the product line within the region.
- Coordinates with sales and business development team to understand industry direction and customer needs.
- Influences region pricing for customer requests for review by upper management.
- Works with dispatch, shop leadership, and sales to ensure customer equipment and manpower needs are met.
- Coordinates with region management personnel to ensure compliance with all customer requests that align with company policy.
- Oversees all processes associated with equipment preparedness, equipment and manpower tracking, and invoice creation and approval.
- Coordinates with the Area Manager to develop and organize product line operational training, ensuring its deployment to develop personnel.
- Manages field product line personnel, including hiring, terminations, scheduling, employee relations, and performance management.
- Assists with vendor management and oversees product line spending.
- Conducts and participates in pre-job (pre-task) meetings with fellow employees and documents on JHAs.
- Ensures that all non-conformances are documented, investigated, and reported.
- Ensures all product line employees follow work instructions and SOPs as assigned in QMS.
