About the Role
Decolonial Thoughts is seeking a strategic finance partner to build a robust, sustainable financial model deeply aligned with its decolonial mission. In this dual capacity as Fractional CFO and Economic Strategy Advisor, you will lead core financial planning and analysis while advising on alternative, mission-led economic frameworks, fair compensation structures, accessibility, and long-term financial resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, revenue projections, and monthly financial reporting.
- Perform scenario planning, cost analysis, project economics, and pricing strategy optimization.
- Design and implement alternative, mission-aligned economic models that reflect decolonial values.
- Provide strategic guidance on fair compensation, financial accessibility, reinvestment, and capital allocation.
- Build operational strategies to ensure sustainable growth and long-term organizational financial resilience.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a CFO, Finance Director, or Financial Advisory Consultant.
- Strong background in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and project economics.
- Deep interest in or experience with mission-driven organizations, alternative economics, and social impact models.
- Demonstrated ability to align rigorous corporate finance principles with equity, fairness, and accessibility.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder advisory skills.
