Fractional Marketing Director

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fractional CMO / Marketing Director to join a growing international business on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on leadership role for a commercially focused marketing professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with day-to-day execution.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the marketing function, driving brand positioning, lead generation, digital performance, and marketing strategy across multiple markets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an agile environment where they can make a tangible commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the overall marketing strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
- Strengthen brand positioning, messaging, and consistency across all channels.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align marketing activity with business development goals.
- Oversee multiple websites and digital platforms, ensuring an excellent user experience.
- Manage website performance, content, SEO, and conversion optimisation.
- Work with developers and external agencies to implement improvements and enhancements.
- Conduct regular website audits to maintain technical performance and content accuracy.
- Develop and execute lead generation campaigns that drive measurable business growth.
- Build automated customer journeys and nurture campaigns using marketing automation platforms.
- Segment audiences, implement lead scoring, and optimise campaign performance through data-driven insights.
- Manage PPC, paid social, and digital advertising campaigns across key platforms.
- Oversee email marketing campaigns from strategy through to execution and reporting.
- Continuously monitor and optimise campaign performance to maximise ROI.
- Develop engaging content strategies including blogs, case studies, whitepapers, newsletters, and thought leadership.
- Manage marketing budgets and report on campaign performance against key business objectives.
- Coordinate the production of marketing collateral and branded assets.
- Use Google Analytics and reporting dashboards to measure performance and inform strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through automation and AI-powered tools.
- Keep the business at the forefront of emerging marketing technologies and best practice.
We're looking for an experienced marketing leader who combines strategic vision with a hands-on approach.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience as a CMO, Marketing Director, or senior marketing leader within a B2B or professional services environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on revenue generation and business growth.
- Hands-on expertise in digital marketing, SEO, Google Analytics, paid media, and website optimisation.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Pardot, HubSpot, or similar CRM systems.
- A strong understanding of demand generation, lead nurturing, and marketing performance measurement.
- Experience implementing AI tools to improve marketing efficiency, automation, and campaign performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to work both strategically and operationally within a fast-paced business.
