Freedom Schools After-School Program Site Coordinator, Edgar Road
*** This extra duty position is grant-funded for one year.***
Primary Objective:
- To use leadership, organizational, and administrative skills to promote the safe educational development of each student in the after-school program
- To provide leadership that will motivate staff and volunteers to strive for superior performance
- To model and facilitate good human relations skills by effectively interacting with others
- To support policies, regulations, and directives of the School Board and Superintendent
Essential Functions:
- Manage parent communication for the after-school program
- Maintain communication with the building principal
- Manage communication with community partners
- Ensure central aspects of the Freedom Schools model (i.e. Harambee and Read Aloud) occur with fidelity
- Coordinate and provide supervision for the after-school program arrival and departure process
- Coordinate the after-school program materials for staff and volunteers
- Support volunteers with student needs (i.e. behavior management)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education: A Master’s Degree in administration or current participation in an administrative program is preferred; a Master’s Degree in education is required.
Experience: Educational administrative experience preferred. Five (5) years of teaching experience is preferred. Teaching experience is required.
Certification: Missouri administrator certification preferred. Missouri teacher certification is required.
