Freelance Data Engineer
Summary
Freelance Data Engineer at Startup Bakery to design and own end-to-end cloud data architecture and build scalable pipelines (including IoT data) for an innovative project. Works closely with data scientists and ML engineers to productionize models, ensure data quality/governance, and build dashboards, using cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong technical leadership skills and hands-on experience in data infrastructure projects to collaborate on an innovative project developed by Startup Bakery.
Key responsibilities
- Design and oversee end-to-end data architecture (ingestion, transformation, storage, consumption) on cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Coordinate and develop scalable and reliable data pipelines collecting data from IoT devices and other sources.
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to ensure predictive models and analytics are efficient, production-ready, and reproducible.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and security, including the definition of standards and best practices.
- Contribute to the design of dashboards and reporting systems to provide actionable insights for agronomists and internal teams.
- Monitor data system performance, handle troubleshooting, and drive continuous optimization.
