Freelance DevOps and Platform Engineer - Hybrid - Long Term - Logistics Sector

We are seeking an experienced Freelance DevOps & Platform Engineer to support a large-scale transformation programme focused on modernising infrastructure, improving automation, and establishing scalable cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud and platform infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.


• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated application and infrastructure deployments.


• Automate manual operational processes and improve platform efficiency.


• Support containerised workloads and orchestration platforms where applicable.


• Monitor platform performance, reliability, and availability, driving continuous improvement.


• Contribute to cloud migration, platform transformation, and infrastructure optimisation projects.

Experience

• Strong commercial experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Cloud Engineer.


• Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.


• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.


• Strong scripting and automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.


• Experience working within cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).


• Knowledge of container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.


• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, or enterprise transformation programmes.
