Summary
A freelance DevOps engineer joins a small sub-team within an infrastructure team at a Belgian federal government customer in Brussels, maintaining and implementing CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling around OpenShift, Docker/Kubernetes and Ansible. The role is onsite 2 days per week until 31/03/2026, with extension possible.
For a Federale customer in Brussels, I am searching for a freelance DevOps Engineer for a long-term mission to work in an Infrastructure team handling applications which are developed in-house for external users.
Responsibilities
· Be part of a DevOps sub team (3) within a larger Infrastructure team (11)
· Work closely with developers to maintain and implement development tools and pipelines to publish apps into acceptance and test (50/50 split between interaction with infrastructure/development teams)
· Supply the lead architect with validation of new designs
Environment/Technical Experience
· Knowledge of OpenShift
· Strong knowledge of Microservices architecture
· Experience with automation tools like Ansible, CI/CD pipelines
· Container knowledge (Docker/Kubernetes)
· Exposure ELK tools
· Scripting/Python experience

ONSITE POLICY: 2 days per week
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
