Job Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Freelance Food Safety Auditor to join our team. This role offers flexibility in working hours with the schedule planned one month in advance. The ideal candidate should have experience in food safety auditing and possess certifications aligned with Singapore’s food safety regulations.

Pay Structure:

  • $350 per day.
  • Payment is based on a 9-hour workday, inclusive of travel, audit, and administrative time.
  • 3 x Meals will be provided by MBS Safe.
  • No accommodation/ transport will be provided.

Working Hours:

  • Mon- Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm OR 9am to 6pm. Sat & Sun not required.
  • We are currently looking at 5 days of engagement per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct food safety audits for stores, ensuring compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) standards and regulations.
  • Perform a comprehensive assessing food handling, storage, hygiene practices, and overall safety measures.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, recording findings, and submitting them accurately and promptly within 5 days (Sat & Sun inclusive)
  • Provide actionable feedback and corrective action plans to store management for any non-compliance issues.
  • Stay updated on Singapore’s food safety laws and guidelines to ensure audits meet current standards.

Requirements:

  • Relevant certifications in food safety recognized by the Singapore Food Agency (e.g., Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, WSQ Food Safety Course Level 3 for Food Hygiene Auditors).
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles or similar food safety systems.
  • Proven experience in food safety auditing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s food safety regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
