• Job Title: Workday Payroll Functional Consultant
• Work Type: Freelance / Contract
• Work Mode: 100% Remote
• Payroll Expertise: US Payroll or Canada Payroll
• Work Schedule: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM IST (aligned with US/Canada business hours; subject to project requirements)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead or support Workday Payroll implementations and deployments.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Configure and support Workday Payroll business processes.
• Work on payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, taxes, and payroll processing.
• Support payroll testing, parallel runs, UAT, and production deployment.
• Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve functional issues.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and technical teams.
• Prepare functional documentation and support knowledge transfer.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll implementation.
• Strong functional consulting experience in either US Payroll or Canada Payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll configuration, testing, and end-to-end payroll processes.
• Experience with requirements gathering, defect resolution, and stakeholder communication.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, client-facing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end Workday implementation projects.
• Workday Payroll certification or relevant project experience.
• Experience with payroll integrations and reporting.
• Previous experience working with US or Canadian payroll regulations.
