We are seeking a freelance Python & PowerShell consultant on behalf of our client for a project focused on automating remote software updates for critical systems.
About the role
You will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing a robust solution enabling software deployment without manual intervention. The project requires close collaboration with the client’s team in Copenhagen, and full-time on-site presence is expected throughout the assignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and test Windows images
- Build a PowerShell-based Orchestrator module for updating images and applications
- Set up an integration pipeline for testing and deployment
- Integrate Orchestrator with MSI installation and ensure secure logging during updates and incidents
- Support troubleshooting through logging and automated diagnostic tools
Your profile
- Strong skills in PowerShell and Python
- Experience with MSI packages and installation automation
- Knowledge of security and diagnostics in critical environments
- Focus on test-driven development and documentation
- Understanding of embedded software is an advantage
