(Fresh Grad Welcome) Management Trainee — Tuition Centre

Open 15d

Summary

Manage a tuition centre’s daily operations, tutor coordination, and parent communications while learning to grow weekend classes and progress toward Centre Manager.

About Us
Cambridge Learning Group is a Primary–Secondary tuition centre in Jurong West, teaching Maths, English, Science, Chinese, and POA. We're a lean, founder-run centre in a growth phase, and we're looking for a dependable, people-oriented person ready to take on real responsibility and grow into running the centre.

What You'll Do
You'll go through a structured onboarding under the founder before progressively taking on ownership of the centre's operations:

  • Support the daily running of the centre — student enrolment, class scheduling, documentation, and fee collection.
  • Handle parent communication across WhatsApp, calls, and walk-ins — enquiries, check-ins, and renewals — accurately and professionally.
  • Be the day-to-day point of contact for our part-time tutor team: scheduling, huddles, and check-ins.
  • Learn to grow our weekend (Sat & Sun) classes — helping recruit tutors and enrol students. This is the centre's flagship priority and where you'll build toward.
  • Run lead follow-up and support the enrolment conversion funnel.
  • Take ownership of one assigned focus area — for example, tracking retention, coordinating tutor schedules, or coordinating holiday programmes and assessment cycles.

What You'll Gain

  • Practical experience running a live service operation — enrolment, scheduling, fees, and parent communications.
  • Direct people-coordination experience with a tutor team from early in your career.
  • Direct founder mentorship, plus exposure to marketing, growth, and ops strategy you won't get at a big chain.
  • A defined, performance-driven track toward Centre Manager — with salary and responsibility growing as you demonstrate readiness.

Who We're Looking For
We hire for character and work ethic first.

  • Diploma or degree in any discipline — no prior experience required (1+ year in operations or a service role is a plus).
  • Follows through on tasks without being reminded, and takes initiative to fix problems rather than waiting to be told.
  • Communicates clearly and stays composed handling parent concerns or operational hiccups.
  • Comfortable working with children and families daily.
  • At ease guiding and coordinating a small team.
  • Fluent in English, and able to converse in Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil to serve our non-English-speaking parents and students.
  • Comfortable with WhatsApp Business, Google Workspace, and AI tools.
  • Singaporean or PR.

What You Can Expect

  • Real autonomy — you'll be trusted to manage your responsibilities without being micromanaged.
  • Meaningful work that directly shapes students' learning and their families' confidence.
  • Genuine growth in an expanding centre, with responsibility increasing as you show you're ready.
  • Medical benefits and leave in line with the Employment Act; 14 days annual leave (7 flexible + 7 in December).

Salary
$2,200–$2,500/month during the 6-month management trainee period. On confirmation to the permanent role, $3,000–$3,500/month, based on performance during the trainee period. Bonus and commission after confirmation, tied to retention and fill rate.

Working Hours
5-day week, approximately 37 hours.
Months 1–6: Tue–Fri 2pm–9pm, Sat 10am–7pm (Sun & Mon off).
Once Sunday classes launch, you'll move to a Wed–Sun schedule (Mon & Tue off), as our peak hours fall on weekends.

How to Apply
Send your CV plus a 3-line answer to this: "A parent WhatsApps you at 9pm — their Sec 3 child wants to quit A-Maths. What's your first reply?"
