Position Overview

Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Desk Associate to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, assist patients throughout the check-in and check-out process, and help ensure the smooth daily operation of our medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming manner.

• Check patients in and out for appointments.

• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.

• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.

• Collect copayments and other patient balances as needed.

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate department.

• Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic medical record system.

• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and clinical staff.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

• Assist with general administrative duties to support daily office operations.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office or healthcare customer service experience preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment.

• Comfortable using computers and learning electronic medical record systems.

• Professional demeanor and a patient-focused attitude.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
