Front-End Developer

Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) The Role:

Emerging technologies such as Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), cloud, artificial intelligence, and APIs, coupled with strategic trends like ESG, could be game-changers for our industry. Euroclear seeks to seize opportunities created by these new technologies and trends to develop products, services, and capabilities that address market inefficiencies and strengthen Euroclear’s role in market infrastructure.

The Innovation tribe within IT is the delivery arm of these game-changing digital capabilities across business lines and entities. To support its growth and ambitions, we are reinforcing the team with a Frontend Developer to work within a fast-paced, truly agile environment.

A Frontend Developer/Engineer is integral to software delivery activities, focusing on (cross)browser applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product owner and other stakeholders to iterate new features.
• Design and implement frontend solutions using the corresponding JavaScript framework.
• Conduct code reviews for components developed by other team members, especially critical components.
• Write and execute unit tests for implemented components.
• Ensure code compliance from both security and coding guidelines perspectives.
• Coach and support junior/medior developers, acting as a design authority for the team.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities.

Must have:

• 3-5 years of professional experience with Angular or another modern JavaScript web framework (React, Vue, Ember, etc.).
• Demonstrated understanding of semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript & TypeScript concepts.
• Experience using Git in a professional/workplace environment.
• Deep knowledge of quality and how to improve quality processes.
• Demonstrated experience working through the entire software development life cycle within an agile team.
• Proven track record working with (REST) APIs.
• Ability to give clear feedback and instructions to the back-end development team.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in Redux, RxJs, or Nrwl Nx.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud and DevOps.
• Experience with Test Driven Development.
• Experience in continuous deployment and integration.
