Front End Developer
Summary
Front-end developer at a healthtech scale-up, owning and improving the UI of a clinician-facing dashboard, internal CMS, and web portal while working with a small cross-functional team. Vanilla-first JavaScript (Vue preferred, not React-first), strong UI/UX polish, REST APIs, and Git/CI-CD workflows; role is remote with occasional trips to the Coventry office.
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 per year
Requirements:- Strong experience in an Agile/Scrum workspace with modern, vanilla-first JavaScript; we are looking for someone who is JS-primary rather than framework-dependent, so deep fundamentals matter more than framework years.
- Vue experience and C# are preferred; we are not looking for a React-first candidate for this role.
- A genuine eye for UI/UX and design heuristics, with the ability to spot when something feels clunky or off-brand and improve it.
- A track record of beautifying software, taking functional but plain interfaces and elevating them, ideally with examples you can show us.
- Experience with Git/version control workflows, PR review etiquette, and CI/CD pipeline awareness; GitLab experience would be a bonus.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools as part of your day-to-day workflow.
- Able to work independently on front-end features from spec through to delivery.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable working with a small, cross-functional team where priorities can shift quickly.
- Webflow experience would be beneficial.
- Own and improve the front-end of our dashboard, CMS, and internal systems.
- Drive forward development of our web portal, bringing it up to feature parity with our mobile apps.
- Work alongside our full-stack developer(s) on larger projects, taking the front-end lead.
- Pick up smaller, self-contained projects that allow the core team to focus on larger builds.
- Champion our design system across all products, ensuring our software looks and feels as good as it functions.
- Collaborate closely with design, other developers, and QA engineers to translate requirements into working front-end features.
