About the role

PT Global Berkat Digital is seeking a talented Front End Developer to join our growing technology team. This is a full-time position based in West Jakarta, Jakarta, where you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining user-facing web applications that drive our business forward. As a Front End Developer, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces that meet our clients' needs and exceed user expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst collaborating with a dynamic team of developers, designers, and product specialists.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies and frameworks

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web interfaces

• Optimise application performance and ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions

• Work with back-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow between front-end and back-end systems

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools

• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to the team

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of core web development principles

• Demonstrated experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular

• Strong knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development approaches

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

• Familiarity with front-end build tools and package managers such as Webpack, npm, or Yarn

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and ability to work with JSON data

• Knowledge of web performance optimisation techniques and best practices

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Previous experience with version control workflows and agile development methodologies is preferred

• Experience with testing frameworks and automated testing is advantageous

• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles is a plus
