Summary

Frontend engineer building a data-heavy internal web application: a React + TypeScript SPA backed by a Python service API with real-time updates. Owns features end to end — from API contract discussion through UI, tests, and release — including data tables, URL-persisted filters, validated forms, i18n, and unit/integration/E2E testing.

About the role
We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to build and maintain a data-heavy internal web application: a React + TypeScript SPA backed by a Python service API with real-time updates. You'll own features end to end — from API contract discussion through UI, tests, and release.

What you'll do
Build and maintain features in a React + TypeScript client, following an explicit, layered frontend architecture.
Design accessible, responsive UI with a utility-first CSS framework and headless component primitives.
Implement data flows against an OpenAPI-described backend, keeping client types generated and in sync with the API.
Build complex views: data tables, large/paginated lists, filters with URL-persisted state, and validated forms.
Maintain and extend internationalization coverage.
Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Keep quality gates green: linting, formatting, type checks, pre-commit hooks, CI.
Collaborate with backend engineers on API design and participate in code review.

Required
3+ years building production frontends with React and TypeScript, with strong typing discipline (generics, discriminated unions, modeling state so invalid states are unrepresentable).
Strong CSS and layout fundamentals; experience with a utility-first framework and headless/unstyled component libraries.
Experience with server-state management, client-side routing, and form handling in React.
Practical testing experience across unit, integration, and E2E layers.
Comfort with modern frontend tooling and build systems, Git-based workflows, and PR review.
Ability to read an API spec and work from generated types; basic comfort running a containerized local stack.

Nice to have
Experience with a formal frontend architecture methodology.
Real-time UIs (WebSockets or similar transports).
Internationalization at scale.
Reading-level Python to navigate the backend and unblock yourself.
Performance work: bundle analysis, code splitting, rendering optimization for large datasets.
Accessibility (WCAG) experience.
