Front-End Engineer
You will design, build, ship, and maintain high-quality user interfaces and reusable UI components for web products. You will work with designers to implement pixel-perfect designs and integrate front-ends with APIs (REST and GraphQL). You will write automated tests, promote UI engineering best practices, lead code reviews, participate in planning and estimation, and mentor junior developers. You will troubleshoot production issues and work with modern tools such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, CI/CD, and web3 libraries when integrating with smart contracts.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, ship, and maintain quality interfaces for products and websites
- Work with the design team to implement product designs
- Build reusable UI components with APIs
- Contribute to team planning, estimation, and roadmapping
- Promote and implement UI engineering best practices
- Mentor junior developers
- Lead code reviews and demonstrations
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- 3+ years experience as a full-time software developer
- Strong knowledge of modern front-end development and testing practices
- Thorough understanding of React and its core principles
- Professional experience with React and Next.js
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Experience writing automated tests (Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Mocha, Enzyme, Cypress)
- Well versed with GitHub practices and GitHub CI
- Strong knowledge of testing best practices and CI/CD
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge about blockchains and proof of stake
- Experience with cloud native development (Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with libraries such as Ethers.js and cosm.js
- Experience with dApps and smart contract integration
- Experience with Cosmos-SDK and IBC is a plus
- Experience with liquid staking is a plus
- Open source contributions, especially within the blockchain space, are a plus
