Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Front Load Driver to join our team in Milledgeville, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating front load garbage trucks to collect commercial and residential waste efficiently and safely, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate front load garbage trucks to collect commercial and residential waste according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning.
• Load and unload waste containers using the truck’s hydraulic lift system.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, pickups, and any incidents or damages.
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers as needed.
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents promptly to management.
• Assist with general maintenance and cleaning of the truck as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or higher with appropriate endorsements.
• Clean driving record
• Valid Medical Card
• Minimum 1 year CDL Experience
• Proven experience operating front load garbage trucks or similar heavy vehicles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Work Environment

This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and requires physical stamina. The role may require early morning or late evening shifts and occasional overtime.
