An exciting opportunity is available for a professional and organised Front of House Lead to oversee reception operations at a luxury coworking and hospitality-style workspace in Cape Town. As the public face of the team, this role is responsible for first impressions, reception systems, and coordinating daily member, meeting, facilities, and event activity. Combining hospitality leadership with strong operational discipline, the Front of House Lead supports the General Manager and ensures seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for members, visitors, suppliers, and guests
  • Greet arrivals with warmth, confidence, and professionalism
  • Manage reception enquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, and in person
  • Own the Member Portal and internal communication channels
  • Manage hot desk, meeting room, and shared space bookings
  • Track member check-ins, visitor logs, and reception activity
  • Log and escalate facilities requests, ensuring timely resolution
  • Support onboarding of new clients and build strong member relationships
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set up, stocked, and presentation-ready
  • Lead workspace tours and act as front-of-house contact during events
  • Maintain clear communication with the wider team on catering, IT, and facilities
  • Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards across reception and workspace
  • Communicate daily expenses and finance-related activity to Finance Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / NQF 4 or equivalent (hospitality/business qualification advantageous)
  • 3+ years’ front-of-house, reception, hospitality, or customer-facing operational experience
  • Proven ability to run a busy reception or live front-of-house environment independently
  • Experience with coworking/member management platforms and booking systems advantageous
  • Supervisory or shift-lead experience preferred
  • Reside in Cape Town
  • Have own reliable transport with valid driver’s licence
