About the Role:
New Vision Behavioral Health Services in Youngstown, OH is looking for a compassionate and organized Front Office Attendant to be the welcoming face of our behavioral health practice. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients seeking mental health and wellness support from the very first moment they walk through our doors.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional, and trauma-informed manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays or patient payments at time of service
- Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or medical office training preferred
- Prior experience in a medical, behavioral health, or mental health front office setting is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and medical scheduling software
- Knowledge of insurance verification and basic medical billing processes
- Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, empathetic, and patient-centered demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
