About the Role
Noosa Blue Resort is seeking a dedicated and professional Front
Office Manager to oversee and coordinate our front-of-house operations. The
successful candidate will lead the reception team, ensure seamless guest
services, and act as the primary point of contact for operational coordination
and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Determining
daily reception and guest service requirements and allocating specific
duties to front desk staff, porters, and housekeeping coordinators.
- Conferring
with the General Manager and other department heads to coordinate front
office activities with housekeeping, maintenance, and external tour
operators.
- Developing
and maintaining staff rosters and attendance records to ensure optimal
coverage during peak resort periods.
- Explaining
and enforcing workplace health and safety regulations to all
front-of-house staff and guests.
- Supervising
the daily operations of the front desk unit, suggesting workflow
improvements, and implementing changes to enhance guest service
efficiency.
- Conferring
with team members to resolve internal grievances and handling complex
guest complaints to ensure a positive resolution.
- Performing
senior front office and reception duties, including managing the
reservations system and overseeing the check-in/check-out process.
- Monitoring
front office financial transactions, including security deposits, late
check-out fees, and credit card surcharges.
Skills
- Proven
ability to manage, motivate, and roster a diverse hospitality team.
- Strong
diagnostic skills to identify operational bottlenecks or resolve guest
service issues quickly.
- High-level
verbal and written communication skills for interacting with guests,
stakeholders, and management.
- Advanced
computer literacy with experience in Property Management Systems (PMS) and
online booking platforms.
- High
commitment to quality workmanship in administrative tasks and guest
environment presentation.
- Ability
to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced
resort environment.
- Capacity
to interpret and act upon technical reports, occupancy data, and guest
feedback documentation.
Experience
- Minimum
of 1 year of relevant industry experience as a Front Office Manager
- Practical
experience in supervising hotel service workers and coordinating
departmental activities.
- Demonstrated
history of managing guest relations within a resort or high-end
hospitality setting.
- Proven
track record using hospitality management software and front-of-house
diagnostic tools.
Qualifications
- Relevant
qualification in Hospitality Management or Hotel Management (AQF
Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent desired).
- Current
First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Licences & Requirements
- Willingness
to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as
required by resort occupancy.
- Strong
commitment to workplace health and safety (WHS) and quality assurance
practices.
- Professional
presentation and a reliable, "guest-first" work ethic.
