Obsidian

Frontend Code Evaluation Specialist

Posted Updated
Discussion

Obsidian is seeking experienced web evaluators to judge pixel fidelity between reference and candidate web pages. You will render pages at 1920x1080, compare layouts, typography, spacing, and assets, and provide evidence-based justifications for every preference.

You must have hands-on debugging skills, a real local development environment, and a track record with Mercor or similar tasks; the role rewards meticulous analysis and clear written reasoning.

Render a reference page and two candidate replications at 1920×1080. Judge which replica closer to reference on state-by-state basis. Diff visual fidelity: box model, typography, color, borders, assets. Read source code of attempts and grade structure and quality. Provide precise, evidence-based justifications for every preference. Flag unworkable tasks and distinguish between merely close visuals and genuine fidelity. 3–8 years of professional web development experience. Fluency across web eras and real pages crawled from the internet. Hand-written HTML and CSS: semantic markup, flexbox, grid, media queries, and legacy layouts. Browser DevTools as muscle memory: test viewports, inspect styles, read DOM. Command-line comfort: unzip archives and run a local server. Enough JavaScript to read and reason about scripts affecting the DOM. Professional written English with evidence-based justification.
