Frontend Developer

emagine is hiring a frontend developer for a 4–6 month remote-from-Portugal project building web application screens (data tables, multi-step forms, approval flows) for a payment platform client. Core stack is React and TypeScript with REST API integration, shared components, testing, and collaboration with Go backend developers.
Emagine is seeking a Frontend Developer to join a collaborative and dynamic project environment. This is an opportunity for a frontend developer with hands-on experience in React and TypeScript to contribute to the development and evolution of web applications for a payment platform. This is a short-term project with an estimated duration of 4–6 months.
What You'll Be Working On
Build web application screens using React and TypeScript.
Develop data tables, detail pages, multi-step forms, and approval flows.
Integrate REST APIs and manage loading, empty, and error states with clear messaging.
Implement role-based permissions within the user interface.
Accurately display financial information, including amounts, fees, and transaction statuses.
Develop and maintain shared components for consistent application behaviour.
Conduct component and end-to-end testing of frontend screens.
Review peer pull requests and contribute to code quality.
Collaborate with Go developers on API contracts.
What We're Looking For
Professional experience in frontend development.
+3 years of experience building production web applications with React.
Strong daily experience with TypeScript.
Experience with forms, validation, routing, data fetching, and caching.
Experience developing back-office or dashboard applications with large data tables.
Strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles.
Experience with Git and code review processes.
Good written English for documentation and technical discussions.
Nice to Have
Experience with React Router 7, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and HeroUI.
Basic backend development exposure, preferably with Go.
Previous experience in payments, fintech, or banking applications.
Experience with Playwright or similar testing tools.
Knowledge of French.
Familiarity with Docker.
Location & Eligibility
Candidates must be based in Portugal.
Remote working model - work remotely from Portugal.
Project duration: 4–6 months.
