Frontend Developer

NewBe an early applicant

Summary

Builds and maintains the frontend of an eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment) product for clinical trials — a Nuxt SPA with configuration-driven questionnaires, validation, and accessible multi-language UI. Day-to-day: Vue 3 + TypeScript component work, REST API integration, and release planning with backend and QA. Fully remote within India, flexible hours with some EST overlap.

Frontend Developer — Nuxt / Vue 3 + TypeScript (Remote)

  • Experience: 3+ years
  • Location: Fully remote, within India only (NCR preferred)
  • Type: Full-time
  • Hours: Flexible, with some overlap with EST hours as needed
  • Compensation: Up to ₹12 LPA
  • Joining: Immediate — expected start between the second and third week of September 2026

About the role

You'll be building and maintaining an eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment) solution used in clinical trials. The product captures assessment data from patients, site staff, and clinicians, and it has to be accurate, auditable, and usable by people who are not technical and often not well.

That shapes the frontend work in specific ways. Form rendering is driven by configurable questionnaire definitions rather than hardcoded screens. Validation rules matter because bad data has downstream consequences. Interfaces are used across languages, devices, and accessibility needs. Changes go through a controlled release process rather than shipping straight to production.

You'll own the interface layer of the application and work closely with backend engineers, QA, and the people defining study requirements.

This is a fully remote position with flexible timings. We don't track hours or locations. Some overlap with EST hours may be required so you can coordinate with the team and with the sites and sponsors we support. Beyond that, structure your day however works for you.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain the application, a Nuxt SPA built on Vue 3 (Composition API) and TypeScript
  • Translate designs and requirements into clean, responsive, accessible interfaces
  • Integrate REST APIs and handle state, caching, and error paths sensibly
  • Build dynamic, configuration-driven forms with conditional logic, branching, and client-side validation
  • Write reusable components and keep the shared component layer consistent across the product
  • Make sure interfaces work for patients and site staff on real devices, including older phones and assistive technology
  • Review code, catch problems early, and help keep the codebase maintainable as it grows
  • Debug and fix issues reported from staging and production
  • Work directly with backend and QA to plan releases and scope work realistically

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional frontend experience, with significant time on Vue
  • Strong Vue 3 skills: Composition API, composables, reactivity model
  • TypeScript is required. You should be comfortable typing components, props, API responses, and utilities, not just adding `any` to make errors go away
  • Hands-on experience with Nuxt. The product is a Nuxt SPA, so you should be comfortable with its directory conventions, file-based routing, composables, plugins, and module ecosystem
  • Solid JavaScript, HTML, and CSS fundamentals
  • Experience with Vite and a state management library (Pinia preferred)
  • Comfortable consuming REST APIs and handling auth, pagination, and file uploads
  • Git and standard PR-based workflow
  • Based in India. This role is open to Indian applicants only, and we are not able to consider candidates located elsewhere
  • Availability to join within one to two weeks of the offer letter. We're targeting a start date between the second and third week of September 2026, so a long notice period won't work for this role
  • Good written and spoken English, and the self-direction that remote work requires

Preferred

  • PrimeVue experience — theming, DataTable, form components, customizing default behaviour
  • Working knowledge of WCAG and accessibility patterns for forms
  • Testing experience (Vitest, Vue Test Utils, Playwright, or Cypress)
  • Experience with dynamic form builders or schema-driven UI
  • Internationalization and multi-language interfaces (vue-i18n or similar)
  • Prior work in healthcare, clinical research, fintech, or another regulated domain, or familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, or HIPAA
  • Performance work: bundle size, lazy loading, render optimization

What we offer

  • 100% remote with flexible timings, though some overlap with EST hours may be required
  • Direct involvement in architecture and technical decisions, not just ticket execution
  • Ownership of a real product used in clinical trials, where quality is visible and matters
  • A small team with short feedback loops and no layers of approval
