Frontend Developer
Summary
Builds and maintains Angular-based web interfaces, integrates with RESTful APIs, and collaborates with designers to deliver scalable front-end components in a microservices environment.
The Associate Software Development Engineer is an entry‑level subject matter expert tasked with designing, developing, and testing software systems, modules, or applications for software enhancements and new products, including cloud‑based or internet‑related tools. This role involves detailed design of certain modules/sub‑systems, prototyping multi‑vendor infrastructure, showcasing solutions internally or externally to clients, and designing/developing functionality in a micro‑services environment that works with APIs, telemetry data, and runs ML/AI algorithms on structured and unstructured data.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high‑quality, scalable, and reusable components using Angular.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross‑browser compatibility.
- Integrate front‑end elements with server‑side logic via RESTful APIs.
- Receive detailed instructions to design and develop solutions and functionality that drives the growth of business.
- Assist with writing and testing code.
- Assist with the execution of automated testing.
- Take directions from various stakeholders to participate in software deployment.
- Assist with delivering software components while working in collaboration with the product team.
- Support the integration and building of solutions through automation and coding, using third‑party software.
- Receive detailed instructions to craft, build, and debug large‑scale distributed systems.
- Assist with writing, updating and maintaining the technical program, end‑user documentation, and operational procedures.
- Assist with refactoring code.
- Assist with reviewing code written by other developers.
- Perform any other related task as required.
Qualifications
- Solid experience with Angular (v14 or higher), including a strong understanding of TypeScript, RxJS (Observables and Operators), and the Angular lifecycle hooks.
- Developing subject matter expert in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Node.js, libraries and frameworks.
- Some expertise of data structures, algorithms, and software design with strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of micro‑services‑based software architecture and experience with API product development.
- Some expertise in SQL and no‑SQL data stores including Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Cassandra.
- Basic understanding of container runtime (Kubernetes, Docker, LXC/LXD).
- Some proficiency with agile, lean practices and loves test‑driven development.
- Possess a can‑do attitude and one that takes initiative.
- Ability to work well in a diverse team with different backgrounds and experience levels.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
- Some proficiency with CI/CD concepts and tools.
- Some proficiency with cloud‑based infrastructure and deployments.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in front‑end development.
- Proficiency in Angular (TypeScript, RxJS, and Angular CLI).
- Strong command of HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with responsive design and CSS frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind, or Angular Material).
- Experience with Git, Webpack, and modern build pipelines (CI/CD).
- Familiarity with working with large data sets and ability to apply proper ML/AI algorithms.
- Entry‑level experience in developing micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
