Frontend Developer (React) – AWS Platform
Summary
Frontend developer building and maintaining React-based components for an AWS-hosted platform at a bank in Changi Business Park, Singapore. Day-to-day involves React/TypeScript development, testing (Jest, Playwright), Git-based code reviews, and supporting CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines alongside backend, UX, and product teams.

Frontend Developer (React) – AWS Platform
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain frontend components and modules for our AWSPlatform using React and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with backend engineers, UX/UI designers, and product teams todeliver end-to-end solutions
• Translate functional and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, andtestable code
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, adherence to coding standards, andbest practices
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement ofdevelopment processes
• Support integration with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues to ensure smooth operation inproduction
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends
Requirement:
• Minimum 4-5 years of professional frontend development experience over 9 yearsof IT experience
• Strong proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem (React Hooks, Context API,etc.)
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript
• Experience with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, ESBuild, etc.)
• Familiarity with version control using Git
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with backend services
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library,Playwright, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently andcollaboratively
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functionalteams
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, SoftwareEngineering, or related fields
Preferred
• Experience with AWS services (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
• Familiarity with micro-frontend architectures (Module Federation, single-spa,etc.)
• Knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, MobX)
• Experience with UI/UX design tools such as Figma
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira
• Understanding of frontend security best practices (XSS, CSRF prevention, etc.)
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.)
• Knowledge of responsive design and accessibility standards
