Frontend Developer, React / Next.js (Freelance)

About the role
We design product interfaces and marketing sites for SaaS, fintech, e-commerce and Web3 clients. A growing share of them can't be built in Webflow — headless storefronts, design-system implementations, high-motion sites, component libraries handed over to in-house engineering teams. That's where you come in.

You'll work from Figma files our team produces, with direct access to the designers.

What you'll do
Build production frontends in React / Next.js / TypeScript from Figma designs
Implement design systems in code: design tokens, component libraries with full variant and state matrices, dark and light themes, Storybook
Work with and extend shadcn/ui + Tailwind setups — several clients run this stack and expect designs to map onto it without custom CSS
Build headless frontends against client-provided APIs and CMSs (Sanity, Storyblok, Contentful), including e-commerce storefronts with search and faceting (Algolia) and payment integrations (Stripe and similar)
Implement complex motion: scroll-driven transitions, parallax, GSAP ScrollTrigger, Framer Motion, Lottie — at 60 FPS with GPU-accelerated transforms
Build data-dense UI: dashboards, tables, filters, charts (Recharts, D3)
Deliver responsive down to 320px with accessibility basics covered
Hand off documented, prop-typed components the client's engineers can pick up
Produce hours-based estimates for incoming leads within 24–48 hours

Must-have
4+ years commercial frontend; strong React + TypeScript
Next.js in production: App Router, SSR/SSG, routing, data fetching
Tailwind CSS, and experience mapping design tokens from Figma into a Tailwind config
Component library work: variants, states, sizes, composition, documented props
Real animation experience, not just CSS transitions — GSAP or Framer Motion in production
REST/GraphQL integration with proper loading, empty and error states
Git, code review, clean commit hygiene
AI-assisted development. Claude Code (or equivalent) is part of how you work day to day — scaffolding components, refactoring, writing tests, exploring unfamiliar APIs. You can go from a Figma screen or a brief to a working clickable prototype fast, using AI to compress the first 80%, then take it to production quality yourself. You review AI output critically and don't ship it unread.
English B2 or higher — you'll join client technical calls
Security judgement: we regularly receive leads asking us to clone and run their repository. You must be able to recognise suspicious code and refuse to run it — this came up four separate times in 2026.
