An established UK retail business is seeking a Front End Developer to join its growing digital team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued development of a large-scale ecommerce platform, delivering engaging, accessible and high-performing user experiences.
Working closely with UX Designers, Product Owners, Back End Developers and commercial stakeholders, you'll be responsible for developing new features, enhancing existing functionality and contributing to the ongoing evolution of the company's digital offering.
You'll have the opportunity to work with modern technologies including React, Next.js, TypeScript, Headless CMS platforms and ecommerce solutions, while helping to shape the online experience for a large customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain customer-facing web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
- Build responsive, accessible and performant user interfaces.
- Integrate front-end applications with headless CMS and ecommerce platforms.
- Collaborate with design, product and commercial teams to deliver new features and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues and bugs.
- Support website optimisation, accessibility and SEO initiatives.
- Contribute to A/B testing and user experience enhancements.
- Promote development best practices and maintain high code quality standards.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Skills & Experience
- 2+ years' commercial experience in a Front End Developer position.
- Commercial experience with React and Next.js.
- Experience working with TypeScript.
- Understanding of responsive design, web performance and accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
