About the Role

Cavista is seeking a Frontend Engineer II to build and scale secure, reliable, and intuitive digital financial products. The role involves collaborating with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other teams to deliver excellent user experiences while maintaining frontend architecture, performance, scalability, and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, high-performance frontend applications for financial services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams.
• Build reusable frontend components using React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Develop intuitive interfaces for financial transactions, account management, reporting, and payments.
• Integrate frontend systems with APIs, payment gateways, banking services, and third-party platforms.
• Implement secure authentication, authorisation, and session management.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, accessibility, and financial security standards.
• Optimise application performance and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues affecting digital financial products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of FinTech experience.
• Frontend development experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
• Knowledge of financial systems and FinTech products.
• Experience with secure application development, payment gateways, and API integration.
• Familiarity with Agile product development and regulatory compliance.
• Understanding of PCI-DSS requirements and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
• Knowledge of consent flows and the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
