Frontend Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Frontend Engineer based in India.

This role is an opportunity to build production-grade web experiences used by real customers across a wide range of digital projects.
You’ll develop polished, responsive interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with a strong focus on usability and performance.
Working closely with designers, product specialists, and backend engineers, you’ll help bring concepts from design through to launch.
You’ll have ownership of the end-user experience while contributing to reusable components, scalable frontend architecture, and design systems.

• Build responsive, accessible, and high-quality web interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Translate designs and product requirements into clean, reusable, maintainable frontend components.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and handle loading, error, and other real-world application states effectively.
• Review and improve code quality, including code generated or assisted by AI development tools.
• Maintain strong standards for frontend performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate closely with design, product, and backend engineering teams to deliver features and experiences from concept through production.
• Contribute to component architecture and design-system practices that support consistency and scalability across projects.
• Participate in testing, code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of frontend development practices.
• Communicate technical considerations clearly and proactively identify potential issues during project delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development, with strong hands-on expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• At least 2 years of production experience working with React and demonstrated experience building production applications with Next.js.
• Strong understanding of modern CSS, responsive layouts, accessibility standards, and frontend performance optimization.
• Solid knowledge of component architecture, reusable UI patterns, and design-system principles.
• Experience integrating, troubleshooting, and working effectively with backend APIs.
• Good testing practices and an understanding of quality-focused frontend development.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile consulting or delivery environment with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
• A craft-focused mindset, strong attention to detail, and a user-first approach to product development.
• Experience with data-heavy dashboards, data visualization, Figma and design handoffs, animation, interaction design, AI-powered product experiences, or open-source projects is a plus.
• Comfortable working alongside AI coding agents and using modern AI-assisted engineering tools as part of the development workflow.
